Today marks the last day of January, which means Frozen February is finally here!
On Wednesday February 5th and Thursday February 6th, we will be holding Audition Workshops for all students interested in being part of the Frozen Jr. cast. Workshops will take place from 3:35-5pm in the JJH Band Room (door 10). Students will be taught the songs, dances (wear gym shoes!), and acting scenes to prepare for auditions. Students can choose to attend both days of workshops or only one day. All audition materials can be found on the Audition Tab of the musical blog page. All 6th-8th grade students will be able to take the activity bus home from workshops/auditions/rehearsals but should know if they live North or South of 75th street.
Prior to workshops, please fill out the following Audition Form. This will allow the directors to gain some information about each cast member and allow you to choose an audition date. Students must fill out an audition form to attend auditions.
At workshops, we will also collect any Conflict Calendars. These were passed out at our January informational meeting and can be found here in an earlier post. Please fill in any dates that your student may be missing rehearsal, remembering that Saturday and tech. week rehearsals are mandatory, and turn in the completed conflict calendar to Mr. Buda, Mrs. Hector, or any of the elementary music teachers by February 6th.
Frozen Jr. Auditions will take place on Monday February 10th, Tuesday February 11th, and Wednesday February 12th in the JJH Band Room from 3:30-5pm. Students will be assigned to one audition day only, based on their audition form. The list will be provided at workshops and here on the musical blog.
We are so excited to begin this journey with you all and hope to see lots of our wickedly talented D68 students next week for the first time in forever or just for the first time!
